Ignace Loomans. Senior engineer building interoperable systems.
A builder at the seams between chains, institutions and people.
Currently at R3, I design and ship interoperability between Corda and public chains — a Corda notary running on Solana via Anchor, an ERC‑4626 yield vault backed by Pyth price feeds, and the Harmonia bridge delivering Corda‑to‑EVM flows on Corda 5.
Before that, SonX: architecting the backend microservice layer, writing ERC‑20, NFT‑marketplace and governance contracts, and wiring custodian wallets to Stripe and Web3 payment rails. Earlier, Blockchain Reply: Hyperledger work for the NHS, self‑sovereign identity, and ZK‑proof mobile wallets.
Outside the day job I'm building Laima — social prediction market vaults on Solana — alongside Celium Tickets (a revenue‑generating blockchain ticketing platform), Print My PR (Strava‑to‑3D‑print terrain models), and sketchy.bike (cycling route danger scoring with 300K+ crash records). I hold an MSc in Financial Technology from Imperial and a BSc in Finance (magna cum laude) from Bentley.
Five years across
interop, infra and identity.
From Hyperledger consulting through ERC‑20 marketplaces to production cross‑ledger interoperability for central banks and institutional clients.
Things I built
on my own time.
Laima
laima.ggSocial prediction market vaults on Solana. Curators create managed vaults, attract depositors, and trade across Kalshi, PureBet, Jupiter/Polymarket, and Divvy.bet — all from a single vault. Rust/Anchor smart contracts handle deposits, redemptions, and real‑time NAV tracking with marked‑to‑market pricing. The backend is a Rust/Axum API with 50+ endpoints, backed by PostgreSQL + ClickHouse. The Next.js 16 dashboard spans 24 pages with 3D visualizations and Web3Auth wallet integration.
Celium Tickets
celiumtickets.comA live blockchain ticketing platform on a custom Substrate chain with 14 ink!/Rust smart contracts. Events created by organisers, tickets minted as NFTs (ERC‑721 seated, ERC‑20 GA), sold via Stripe with instant payouts. Includes on‑chain attendance tracking, attendance‑gated reviews, loyalty points, collectible POAPs, and community voting. Ticket verification via a React Native verifier app that scans QR codes and burns tickets on‑chain. 18 Cloud Functions, 95+ table PostgreSQL database, embeddable widget for organiser websites.
Print My PR
printmypr.comAn e‑commerce platform transforming Strava activities into custom 3D‑printed terrain models. Real SRTM satellite elevation data with the GPS route as a raised line across the surface. In‑browser Three.js viewer for customising orientation, vertical exaggeration, terrain and line colours, and text labels. Supports 15+ activity types — running, cycling, hiking, mountain biking, skiing. Stripe checkout with worldwide shipping and SendGrid order confirmations.
sketchy.bike
sketchy.bikeCycling route safety analysis powered by 300K+ real government crash records across 27 countries. Upload a GPX or import from Strava — every segment scored for danger across 9 factors: road type, speed limits, lane count, surface quality, cycleway separation, lighting, gradient, tunnel risk, and crash history with recency weighting. Dangerous sections rerouted via Valhalla with three parallel strategies. Monetised with Stripe subscriptions ($6/mo, $49/yr). Device integrations code‑complete for Garmin Connect IQ, Hammerhead Karoo, plus an Expo mobile app.
